AGE: Twenty-Six. APPEARANCE: IMAGE SPECIES: Gifted Human. SUBJECT:: Physical Education. SEXUALITY: Closeted Bisexual. HEIGHT: 6'1" | 185 cm. WEIGHT: 158 lbs. | 71.6 kg. NATIONALITY: French-Japanese. OCCUPATION: Coaches Swim and Track and Field. FACE CLAIM: Itachi Uchiha, Naruto, René Deleforterie. PERSONALITY TRAITS: Aloof: It's no secret that René can be a rather placid, aloof, soft-spoken sort of man... to be honest, he's not much in the business for forcing his students to do anything. Call it a gesture of sympathy, because he knows well enough how dreaded the daunting trials of physical education can be to some students. And it's always nice that being so easy-going makes him quite a hit among the young people. His carefree nature tends to strike the younger crowd as someone more so on their 'peer' level as compared to the usual 'authority' aura most educators have about them. If his students would rather not participate in his class for good reason, René will dismiss their active participation, just so long as they aren't disruptive or disrespectful in any way. In most cases, René will let some of the less athletic boys under his wing glide by with passing marks for doing little more than walking laps around the track, or playing catch with a companion... just so long as they're putting some effort in, that's good enough for him. Assertive: Don't be fooled by his 'lax' teaching methods. When its time to put his foot down, its final--end of argument, period, or else. You really don't want to go down the road of testing his patience. He's not a pushover by any means, and his students have learned very quickly in the past that mistaking his easy-going nature for weakness or indifference is perhaps the dumbest mistake you can make. He'll kick your ass right out of his Gym if you so much as disrespect him. If you're a rabble-rouser, a brawler, a smart-ass or class-clown, you can expect more than a few weekend detention slips to commemoration your 'witty' antics and perhaps remind you that Mister Deleforterie does not fuck around when it comes to the allotted period of time in his class. You'll behave, or get the fuck out... plain and simple. None of his students are babies, and he ain't runnin' a daycare. Silver-tongued and Flirtatious: It goes without saying, he's got a... 'colorful' way with words, for a teacher--René has had his share of eyebrow raising moments in his days as an educator, and in certain company, educating may seem like the very last job he's suited for. You'd swear he should be doing, y'know... anything... anything else in the world. He's gotten much better at knowing what to say when class is in session though, he really doesn't mean any harm by it, in most cases René 's simply paling around with his students and nothing more than that. Maybe it's that silky-sweet accent lacing his words... maybe it's genetics. Whatever it is, there's something about that sultry, baritone voice is practically scandalous. It's easy to take a lot of what he says as flirtatious, but again, it's really not something René can help... or seems to want to help, really. Orderly: He's a prompt man, who's life runs on a very direct and rigorous schedule, from the moment he wakes 'til the moment he sleeps. Old habits die hard he supposes. It's a bit harsh and a little unrealistic to expect the same from his students, but all the same, René doesn't tolerate tardiness, or for his students to be unprepared, especially when he gives them ample time to prepare, and seeing as 85% of his class's grade is based on simply showing up, he doesn't feel he's asking much for them to have their uniforms on, their bathing suits at the ready for swim tests, and to do their peers a favor and shower after class so no one has to endure a smelly team-mate hours after Phys. Ed. has ended. HISTORY: One can't help but wonder what goes wrong in the life of a half-French, half-Japanese mutt of such high-esteemed breeding, to doom him to the lowly career of high-school Physical Education teacher. To the contrary, René would have had things no other way. René's was a rather boring and ever so strategic birth after all, planned to the very date. Born on a beautiful, snowy Spring morning to Auguste Deleforterie, and his soft-spoken mail-order bride, Akiko Harada, at their manor home on the rocky cliffs of Marsielles, René was everything his father and paternal grandparents had ever hoped for. He was beautiful, and healthy, and promising enough that they could easily over-look his half-Asian heritage. The manor on the cliffs over-looking the sea was where René would spend the youngest and to his knowledge, the most miserable years of his life. René does not recall much of his mother. He only knows that, when he was very young--too young to remember, she was taken away from him. Though fluent in his mother's native language, he did not have the luxury of her sweet lullabies to teach him, or the pleasure of having her to converse with on a daily basis. His father would tell him nothing of her when he finally became old enough to ask, aside from the fact that she was very, very ill in her mind... and he left it at that. Auguste was a politician with a stern tone, short temper, rigid Catholic values, and a penchant for perfection. He demanded a model child of his, and his ever so obedient first-born, desperate for his approval, was nothing short of that. René was perfect. He was quiet, and well mannered, even tempered and intelligent... he sat with rigid, pristine posture, and only spoke when spoken to (when that was even permitted). Around six years of age, though, René began to exhibit some... troubling differences. He would often times complain to his caregivers of leaving the windows opened at night, because he'd be kept up by the voices calling out over the ocean. At times he would refuse to leave the Manor for his fencing lessons, or to sit for a portrait in the garden, for fear of some entity he claimed to see gallivanting over the grounds that no one else could perceive. His father, fearful that his son had inherited his mother's mental illness, used every means necessary to smother down René's bizarre claims. At first, he was punished for his supposed lies, but when René's unusual claims not only persisted but grew into proclamations of befriending members of the family who had been long deceased at the Manor, the elder Deleforterie began to fear the worst. He turned to religion to right the boy's illnesses, and at eight years old, René was sent away to the confines of an expensive, All Male Catholic Boarding school. A few months in the prison-like confines of the Boarding School, and the oddities in young René's life had continued. He wasn't a popular boy. He was small and thin for his age. He wore his hair long and had fair, unusual features compared to his peers--if it weren't for his last name, and the money his family had, René was certain his life would have been very lonely. He stopped telling others about the things he saw, and heard, but he did not stop communicating with the spirits of the deceased whom were constantly surrounding him, attracted to the youngster's clairvoyant abilities. He enjoyed two years of simplicity, and had even managed to make a few friends before his life yet again took a turn for the worse. On his thirteenth birthday, a series of exceptionally unfortunate events would end in René being expelled from his School, and then some... he was accused of being under the possession of a demon. A year of child psychologists, expensive exorcists, and hypnosis only sought to wedge an even wider gap between René and his father, and at such a ripe age for rebellion, René could think of nothing better than running away. So run away he did. With so few family to turn to, René sought out the only family member who would accept him--his paternal Great Aunt, who in turn offered him all the knowledge she had of his mother who had shared many of the same Clairvoyant talents he did... albeit to a much more intense, life threatening degree. He later learned that her abilities, uncontrolled, lead to her inevitable suicide after several years of institutionalization, as well as the fact that the 'series of unfortunate event' that branded him a devil in the eyes of his peers (and Father) was hardly so, but yet another genetic trait. This time, though, his mother was not to blame. It was something of insult to injury, learning that the very magickal abilities his father so feared and shunned him for was a direct result of his own blood--his great-great grandmother had been a well practiced Witch, and though she married a regular human, and their daughter a regular human, René was the generation their powerful magick had resurfaced. Eager to put his less than savory past behind him, his Aunt urged him to the Nakaumi Academy, and at fourteen years old he enrolled and eventually, graduated from the Academy. He went on to college briefly, where he met his wife, Liliana, but was inevitably drawn back to the Academy, which had helped him more than he had ever believed imaginable... and here he is now. His wife is employed as a Guidance Counselor. POWER Magick Blood Traits: Ever since he was young, René felt there was something... unusual about himself. He was plagued by strange... coincidences. He would encounter unusual animals and have bizarrely enchanted dreams that were just... far to realistic to be fantasy. He had the most bizarre luck, things would happen around him without much explanation at all--all because of a thought he had, a wish he made, a feeling he felt. Some part of him alwaaaays knew that something inside of him had made it happen. Decades later, René learned of his family's magick-rich heritage... he comes from a long line of incredibly powerful Witches, and though his blood has been diluted in the last few generations, it has proven in the past that when this blood-trait skips a few generations, it resurfaces impressively potent. To the day he still really would rather not have a part in it, and he still maintains his Atheist views, despite his Pagan heritage. The fact that a poorly placed rhyme with just the proper bit of concentration might cause some rather undesired effects will never cease to annoy him. Extrasensory Perception/Psychic Medium: He's had this ability for as long as he can remember. He's quite Clairvoyant, and with Clairsentience and Clairaudience in addition, René is quite the accomplished psychic. He's had experiences with remote viewing, as well as astral projection. He's spent years of his life to studying various techniques to control, and properly utilize his abilities, but even at twenty six years old he's in no way a master of his skill. He generally perceives information around him from a variety of sources--he may pick up information from Spirits in the world between, communicate with those who have passed, or simply derived information from the world by use of his mind's-eye. When utilizing his talents René has far more accuracy when in direct contact with an artifact of whomever or whatever it is he's trying to derive information of... contrary to some talents, René's Clairvoyant 'visions' are not restricted by time or space. He's perceived information of people who lived centuries prior, and has experienced premonitions that would not occur for decades--his accuracy with determining time frames of his visions, however, is still quite a work in progress. Pros: As you can imagine, being magickal, and psychic, has a lot of perks. Nothing really surprises you. You tend to know an awful lot about friends (and enemies), its insanely easy to pick up the ladies by using witty antics and your impeccable 'stroke of luck' to charm and woo them, and god only knows how often good fortune has come back to smile upon him. A well placed rhyme can have the most adverse effects on one's life, especially if cast with the most vague of intentions. There's a magickal remedy for everything he's discovered, from as simple as ridding oneself of vices, or keeping those who wish you harm from crossing the threshold into your domain. Life is rarely surprising, but hardly boring, and to be honest René's used to it by now. He wouldn't change the way he is for anything. Cons: Personal Gain. That one's got the biggest habit of coming back to haunt him--in his younger years, René had to learn the hard way that wishing ill-will upon someone always comes back to you, and that using your abilities of influence unfair, unjust gain will inevitably end in disaster. Considering he's spent a lot of his life rejecting his magick capabilities, like any talent, if you don't practice it you lose it and as thus, his spell casting is generally stronger in the company of other witches or magick inclinedb ehinds. Along with his magickal mishaps, René has endured many avid difficulties of his enhanced extrasensory abilities, including how to control the constant influxes of supernatural sounds and information invading his head, how to deal with otherworldly entities (both placid and malevolent), and how to focus his abilities to achieve the desired visions. Exercising such extensive abilities of the mind requires daily meditation, and over-exercising his talents can have taxing results, both physically and mentally. When René is 'over-doing' it, he's subject to dizziness and disorientation, black-outs, memory-loss, extreme fatigue, and migraine headaches. LIKES & DISLIKES ✓ Chess. ✓ Meditation. ✓ Martial Arts. ✓ Classical music. ✓ Competitive Sports. ✓ Fine wine, hard liquor. ✓ Hot brunettes with daddy issues. ✓ Morrow, his nuisance of a 'familiar'. ✓ Organization, maintaining schedule. ✓ He's one of about five 'morning' people in the world. ✓ Rain, Rivers, Lakes, the Ocean--hell, any sort of water really. ✓ Cuddling. But that's a secret. ✘ Most animals. ✘ "Bad ass kids." ✘ Cruddy American Coffee. ✘ He hates repeating himself. ✘ His cheating whore of a wife. ✘ Being denied. He's pretty demanding. ✘ Arguing. He just doesn't do it, he'll drop it and stop talking. ✘ Any sort of feel-good comedy flick, family film, or 'chick flick'. ✘ Getting hit on by men. Seriously, it makes him so uncomfortable. ✘ Smoking. It's not cute, or sexy, it's disgusting, and stupid to pay to die. ✘ Sassy, dominating, independent women just... weird him out. It ain't natural. As do effeminate men (although they're bizarrely attractive in ways he'll never admit). PAST EDUCATION Obviously, René has his Teaching Certification. He also has his Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education.
