Andrei has the ability to talk his way out of anything, or even to convince people of anything. Something about his elegant and silver-tongued nature seems to capture the eyes and heart of all he speaks to. • Snobby – It’s obvious that he’d come from money, the way that he looks down at everyone around him. Rarely do other students get treated like they’re not his underlings; he’s not exactly the most approachable person. Unless he absolutely has to socialise with someone, he’ll just ignore them and go about his business. • Business Mindset – There’s a reason he’s head prefect; and it’s definitely not to build leadership skills. It’s because it looks good on paper. He’ll do anything to get him an easier grip-hole in life and being head prefect is one of those things. There’s no denying, he’s the best at what he does and represents the school well, but he doesn’t care who he steps on to get where he wants to go. • Indifferent – Andrei could be sitting in the middle of a room that’s crashing down on top of him and wouldn’t flinch. When it comes to things that don’t concern him, he won’t lift a finger or give a fudge about it. There’s something about nobility that always gives them the ability to watch people suffer and not be affected by it. • Elegant – From the way he walks (almost floats), to his perfect pronunciation and perfectly ironed clothing, everything about him seems gracious. He’ll be sipping his sweet tea quietly but if anyone dares to slurp in his presence they’ll be met with icy glares. When people talk to him they always end up standing up straighter and choosing their next words carefully. • Psychopath – He hides it well but deep inside Andrei wants to create havoc and pain, he wants to see the world fall apart around him. It’s rare that he’ll let this side of himself be unleashed, but the simplest of things could trigger him. HISTORY: Andrei was born in a not so typical higher class family, his mother was a lawyer and his father was a business man (cough cough drug dealer). Most of his life, he was raised with a silver spoon in his mouth. When he was ten, his father was caught dealing drugs, and instead of dealing with the consequences decided to start country hopping in order to escape the law. Every few months, Andrei's father would communicate with him and his mother, sending them money from his overseas dealings and telling them how much he missed them. It wasn't long until his mother quit her job and started drinking, living off her husbands money. Night after night she would bring home strange men, and if Andrei said a word about it, the men would hit or scream at him. His mother stood and watched with a slight smirk on her face, saying that he was a mistake anyway, that he was unnatural, he wasn't supposed to be born. This was how Andrei begun to hate his powers. When his father had still been at home, when he was about 4 years old, they'd been on a road trip. They were a typical loving and happy family. On this roadtrip, being the stereotypical man, Andrei's father had refused to take any directions, and at a point of time threw the maps out the window, saying that he didn't need them. They'd obviously gotten lost, and both parents started screaming at each other. Andrei, who'd seen the map beforehand, had taken out his paper and coloured felt pens, and drew out the entire map perfectly to scale, exactly as it was on the real copy. His parents had shrugged it off, and commended him for being such a good boy, this event was how they'd nicknamed him 'Atlas'. They didn't notice it then, but that was the first time Andrei had discovered his powers. As he got older and older, his ability to control his powers grew. He would watch superhero shows and mimic what those superheros did. His father was ecstatic, telling Andrei he was the most wonderful son to ever live. Atlas's mother, however, didn't share this opinion. As soon as her husband had went out to work, she'd tell her son that he was a freak of nature, he didn't deserve to live. Every time he practiced his powers in front of her, she'd stopped loving him a little bit more. Atlas had finally told his father the things she'd been saying, which created a fight that never quite ended. After that, nothing was really the same in the household. Finally, Andrei's father had came home, only to discover of his wife's many affairs, he threw her out on the street. After that, he'd discovered of her abusing his son, and decided he'd wanted to create a place where Andrei could truly be himself, and truly be proud of his skills. That was when the man had begun to fund the rebuilding of Nakaumi Academy. Secretly, Atlas's father is the founder of the boarding school, but had disappeared as soon as the school opened. Atlas hadn't heard from his father since. POWER • Mimic – Andrei can mimic anyone’s power, the catch is that he can only use one power at a time (not including his photographic memory). He only has the ability to use that power if he’s seen someone use it or if a person describes the power. So he can’t just randomly think up a power then use it. Sometimes he can’t control whether or not he inherits the power, sometimes he’ll see someone use the power and he’ll just immediately power up and receive it. If he sees a shapeshifter, he can have the ability to shift but if he wants to use the strength that comes with shifting then he’ll have to drop the shifting power and use the strength instead. • Photographic memory – His mind bank is a pit of unlimited information, if he sees something, hears something, or even sees something; Andrei has the ability to relive it at any chosen moment. This is kind of what gives him so much free time; the fact that he never has to study after classes, never has to re-read textbooks. LIKES & DISLIKES ✓ White – Something about this colour just perfectly represents him, maybe it’s the sickeningly sweet portrait of blood on white. ✓ Money – Of course being raised swimming in pools of cash, he would learn to rely on money. ✓ Horses – Everyone has a weak point, for Andrei it’s horses. Nakaumi’s stables are mostly filled with his horses, each one pampered daily. ✓ Medieval sports – Andrei has quite a blood thirsty personality. It’s probably the fact that murdering inanimate objects with arrows can be stress relieving, or swinging around a heavy German long sword can make him feel powerful. ✓ Making people feel uncomfortable – A chip off the old block. ✘ People – They’re annoying, enough said. ✘ His photographic memory – Having thoughts run through your mind during every waking moment can be a pain. Not being able to shut down for a single second, not being able to dumb down for a moment. ✘ Poor people – Typical shallow rich kid, anyone who doesn’t meet his high class status is immediately dirt to him. ✘ Celery – It’s just really gross. ✘ PB – The other school prefect is supposed to be his partner in crime, but Andrei hates this guy more than anyone else in the school. ACADEMIC + SPORTING Andrei is one of the two head prefects of the student council, he’s also in the chess and debating clubs. He does best in the academic side of schooling, but in reality he’s useless at PE, not because he can’t do it, but because he chooses not to.
